Atlas Air Power was founded in June 1987 in Port Elizabeth as the sole agent of Atlas Copco to serve the Motor Industry and eventually expending into the Construction, Mining, Quarry and all Industrial sectors nationally. Atlas Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd®, which is proudly 100% South African, evolved from Atlas Air Power due to the market demand for quality service and the more affordable option to hire equipment. Our Vision: Atlas Plant Hire’s primary objective is to provide and deliver our customers with a quality service which surpasses their expectations. Today the company boasts over 500 items of plant which includes Compressors, Generators, and Compaction Equipment, delivered to all points of need. Atlas Plant Hire remains one of the fastest growing names in the plant hire industry. Due to market demand a branch was opened in Midrand in 1999. This was soon followed by a branches in Rustenburg and Lephalale, and a number of satellite branches nationally. We were the sole supplier of compressors and generators to Blue Ridge offering a 24/7 service over 3 years until power was restored. As a member of the CPHA (Contractors Plant Hire Association) and the MBA (Master Builders Association), Atlas Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd® has gained an enviable reputation for service and quality and adheres to a strict Code of Ethics. Atlas Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd® is continuously evolving and improving our high quality standards by investing in Health and Safety development and reducing carbon emissions in an attempt to become Environmentally active, as well as training of staff and customers.
